When?

When we would go out in delight, Playing with friends day and night? When we could tranquilly have sleepovers? With friends near the lush green bower. When we would not need masks? And gleefully complete our tasks? When would the best day arrive, When would the parks spark and be alive? When our streets would be carved with light? When would joy and happiness be in sight? -Anika Arora

The Rose

The rose was in its still and beauteous bed, It was standing upright and wisely. The mesmerizing scent to the garden led  With its sweet fragrance nicely. The rose was in a plum-color hue,  At night, under the white, enthralling moonlight In the morning, it is crimson in view. It would sheen with a color so bright. The rose gazed at the blue flake paint, The bed was laden with thorns, obstructing the air. In the moonlight, the hue would be so faint  Standing so beautiful, so fair.  The rose had thorns which were spiny, Making it herculean to touch. And the rose was sturdy and tiny And it's scent sprawled too much. The rose bloomed with stillness, And was peaceful in the dark. The rose handled the garden's wilderness And would see the linnets and larks.                                                  -Anika Arora please do comment 😊

The Bumble Bee

The Bumble Bee flew near the flowers, Next to the skyscrapers and towers. The Bumble Bee was fussy choosing Which flower was quite amusing. The Bee wanted a lovely flower That had nectar, so luscious to savour. Sluggish, it flitted over the vibrant plants Until it spotted the perfect one contiguous to the ants. The Bee was mesmerized by its hue The way it looked, the beauteous view.  The stupendous scent sprawled, While other tiny insects crawled. The flower had an uncanny appearance, It was sleeping in trance. The Bumble Bee said, " O, pretty flower, I'll come another day!" As it was sleeping in its bed in the magnificent spring day.

All I ever think about...

Have you ever wondered what is there beyond the stars? Well, won't it be wondrous, isn't it? I wish I could go over the stars with consummate elegance and tiptoe over the bridge made of ice in the sky. I believe there is always something there to be discovered and learn. Imagine a world through a looking glass? Most of the time, I yearn for a microscope and I could see things that are so minuscule like tiny spots, something different from the usual things we see. The last time I ever saw a microscope was when I was in sixth grade. It is a fascinating device that works so well. Also, I don't understand that how the world and the universe be so limitless? It makes me very inquisitive to seek the truths of the universe. Things are there to be discovered but the question is who will? Please do comment 😊

My Wish

I wish I can be a bird with lovely wings Having a voice mellifluous to sing. I would ascend up and soar And chirp to appease my core. I would look down spell-bound, I would wheel and whirl around. I could travel the whole planet With none of my money spent. I would see all so minuscule And I needn't go to school. I would be inquisitive to see the planet It would be flabbergasting, I bet! I would love to taste the clouds, I hope it would be luscious and I can chirp out loud. I could take a glimpse of the sun so sultry, Or the beauteous moon when the clouds are murky. It would be wondrous to be a free lark Who could sit tranquilly on the bark?   I could make animal friends; It can be a predator, it depends. I could gaze upon the gaudy flowers While sitting on the hoary, concrete towers. I would fly with consummate elegance. I could fly way ahead of the spiny fence. It would be lovely to be a bird And have joyance up above the...
