My Wish

I wish I can be a bird with lovely wings

Having a voice mellifluous to sing.

I would ascend up and soar

And chirp to appease my core.

I would look down spell-bound,

I would wheel and whirl around.

I could travel the whole planet

With none of my money spent.

I would see all so minuscule

And I needn't go to school.

I would be inquisitive to see the planet

It would be flabbergasting, I bet!

I would love to taste the clouds,

I hope it would be luscious and I can chirp out loud.

I could take a glimpse of the sun so sultry,

Or the beauteous moon when the clouds are murky.

It would be wondrous to be a free lark

Who could sit tranquilly on the bark?

I could make animal friends;

It can be a predator, it depends.

I could gaze upon the gaudy flowers

While sitting on the hoary, concrete towers.

I would fly with consummate elegance.

I could fly way ahead of the spiny fence.

It would be lovely to be a bird

And have joyance up above the world!

Enthrallingly, I could swing around the stars

And look at the headlights of the cars.

I could swiftly enchantingly move around

And make euphonious chirping sounds.

I would love to meander around the emerald trees,

Talk to the amber, buzzing bumblebees.

I could sing lovely songs and melodies

And I could see eggs wee.

I could sluggishly raise my wings

As royal as the lavish kings.

I would have warm, azure feathers

And fly around enjoying the weather.

My Memories

The Adventure in the Amazon Jungle

The Adventure in the Amazon Jungle We had an adventure in the Amazon forest, This story has always been the best. We used to be valiant like gladiators, Standing near the alligators. We would row on a boat in the lake Gazing at the little animals awake. We clambered trees up to their canopy As we saw the emerald world gleefully. We heard the owls' sigh And heard the inky bats cry. We stayed in the jungle in tents, Like we were the forest's tenants. -Anika Arora
