Tales and Poems

 

 I  was lost in the woods. All alone, I clasped my luggage and kept trotting on the desolate lane. The vines were scattered and the trees were quivering. There was a spine-chilling humming persisting relentlessly. But, my aim to go home made me forget my fear. The inky sky was starless while I was there hopeless. The trees were gigantic and laden with bats. I trembled vigorously as the cold chill of the gale rolled.  I curled my lip all cold and morose. Suddenly, I could hear wailing like that of a grievous elephant and then it became shriller. My senses were frozen as I shuddered. "Hello!" I shrieked looking around for the source of the wailing. My legs felt a spasm of fright and I galloped with an adrenaline rush. I saw someone behind me draped in a cloth and nobody believed me later about having a glimpse at the supernatural. -Anika Arora

 

Thank you, our planet, for giving us a place To live, laugh, love with a prepossessing space. I am so thankful to be in a world with plethora of opportunities That would always increase. I am so thankful to see the beauteous hills, That I gaze upon while my grandma eats her pills. I am so thankful for the swift waterfalls That flow swiftly than the fairies and them all. I am so thankful for the emerald trees And the scrumptious, luscious honey from the bees. I am so thankful for the azure ponds and lakes And the white, glimmering snowflakes. Thank you, our planet, for such a glorious place That always shines with elegance and grace.    

  We all have dreams whether we are a little child or a giant business typhoon. Dreams are visualizations and we yearn and long for them to come true. They are inexplicable but you want them to be fulfilled. They are like feelings, passions and wishes mixed together into a sweet and tingly  mixture.  They are like your desires and give you a sense of hope, determination, perseverance and creativity to delve deep into a road with obstacles. Dreams don't come when we slumber, but are there when we are awake with a ray of hope that our dream could still spark. We wait and contemplate over it repeatedly but the question is: "When will the dream come true?"

I sat with a bated breath on the table, Pondering, musing, whether I would be able To make an accurate endeavour in the test. So, I summoned up my valour and gave my best. There were words that were puzzling, There were questions that were baffling. I believed in myself and ticked the choice, I listened to my heart and my inner voice. I was a bit sceptical and curious  About the questions, so mysterious. I submitted the test with inquisitiveness, That whether my marks would be more or less.  Now, I am sitting and wondering saguinely That would my results come out what I hoped to be. -Anika Arora

Why does the world look so enigmatic? Even when you gaze or look at it. The world is so gigantic and picturesque With its lovely hues and wind, so brisk.  The flowers awake the scent of the air, And nature eradicates all of the despair; though I think all about nature, How I would sojourn and live in stillness on the pasture. When would I visit the real world again once more? When would I slam open the freedom door? -Anika Arora

Climate Change is huge concern which has already been impacting the world. It has been impacting the paradigm of weather pattern and moreover, altering the harmony of our ecosystem. It is time for understanding the need to change, we need to change with times.  We need to rejuvenate and revive into an eco-friendly, person, a climate-change warrior and a preserver of our dear Mother Earth. Climate Change needs to be taken as a formidable opponent or there could be severe consequences. We should follow the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
